Community
We raise funds to support local organizations that strengthen and uplift our community. Our contributions support a range of programs aimed at improving housing, food access, education, financial stability, and health for all Vermont residents.

Our community impact campaigns rotate throughout the year. In 2024 (our first year!), we donated over $1,800 to local organizations. Help us reach our 2025 goal of $2,500!

Environmental
We are dedicated to environmental stewardship to keep our planet a safe and comfortable place to live for generations.
When we source fabrics, decor, office supplies, and cleaners, we aim to minimize environmental impact by selecting upcycled, recycled, biodegradable, or sustainable products whenever we can. We also consider the packaging and transport of these items. Many of the displays and furniture we use in the store are second-hand, like our refurbished fabric rolling table and our thrift and antique store tables and chairs.
By offering eco-kind options in fabrics and home decor, Joy of Home contributes to a healthier planet and empowers our customers to make sustainable choices.
Preservation
We value the preservation of cultural heritage and personal history by restoring and lengthening the usefulness of cherished furniture.
Each piece tells a story, and our skilled upholsterers renew furniture to maintain original character while enhancing beauty and functionality. By giving old furniture a new life, we help families maintain memories and heritage while promoting sustainability through waste reduction.
