Our Sources
Trusted brands and talented artisans.
Partners We Trust
In choosing products to carry at Joy of Home, we seek out brands that are synonymous with quality and offer some measure of sustainability. Our decor products blend with a variety of design styles, offer color and neutrals, and are rich with patterns and textures. While many items come from other continents and cultures, we choose products that fit most northeastern homes.

Our fabric brands include industry veterans as well as newcomers who are innovating more sustainable textile manufacturing. However, we are delighted that even companies that have been around for decades are also seeking less impactful ways to create appealing fabrics. Our selection includes fresh new patterns, retro looks, traditional motifs, and comfortable solids and weaves.

For all custom fabric work, we partner with local workrooms who have been perfecting their craft for 40 years or more. Your furniture will stay in northern Vermont while it is being transformed, and your window coverings, pillows and cushions will be made here as well.
Our mission extends beyond aesthetics; we are committed to making a positive impact on our community, supporting environmental sustainability, and preserving the artistry of traditional craftsmanship.
Artisans We Love
Joy of Home enjoys carrying the work of local Vermont and independent artisans in our home decor offerings.

In this section, we are introducing a few of the folks who have shared their talents and products with us.
Laura Socinski
It is hard to find Laura without a needle in her hand. When she’s not embroidering, making bags and pillows from the remaining fabric, or creating fiber collage, Laura is altering wedding dresses, making costumes for the school play, or filling pillow orders for Joy of Home. Hailing from Mexico, Laura loves color, pattern and texture as much as me. The right colors and combinations of fabrics in her work hark back to her native culture and cheer up the, sometimes, dreary Vermont landscape.
Shawn Berard
Shawn Berard is Joy of Home's upstairs neighbor, a native Vermonter, and a house painter by trade. When not wielding a roller, Shawn scouts the woods for downed birch bark and interesting tree limbs. Back in his abode, he transforms these found treasures into decorative, indoor bird houses with colorful birds, mosses and lichens, and fanciful rooves.
Noble Winter Studio
Noble Winter, a Nashville-based studio known for its distinctive, original patterns and premium textiles. Each piece is designed locally and made in the USA, reflecting a commitment to ethical production and eco-friendly practices. Noble Winter's playful colors, soothing patterns, and soft textures bring comfort and joy to any home. Their products, crafted by skilled artisans, include luxe Belgian linens and durable cotton/linen blends, perfect for adding a touch of elegance and sustainability to your decor.
White Squirrel Clayworks
Joy of Home is now carrying stunning handcrafted pieces from White Squirrel Clayworks, a talented wife and husband team based in Oberlin, OH. Inspired by their love of nature and animals, their pottery reflects the beauty and tranquility of the natural world, with a commitment to sustainability, using green energy and sustainable materials.
